Math and Literature

Math, also a powerful tool for literature?

I am Number Four...

The Power of Six...

The Rise of Nine...

All of the three books were written by Pittacus Lore, the ruling elder of planet Lorien.

"Nine of us came here. We look like you. We talk like you. We feel like you. We live among you. But we are not you. We can do things you dream of doing. We have powers you dream of having. We are stronger and faster than anything you have ever seen. We are the superheroes you worship in movies and comic books—but we are real.....

Our plan was to grow, and train, and become strong, and become one, and fight them. But they found us and started hunting us first. Now all of us are running. Spending our lives in shadows, in places where no one would look, blending in becoming like you. We have lived among you without you knowing.

But they know. And they will follow us until we are all caught.

They caught Number One in Malaysia.

Number Two in England.

And Number Three in Kenya.

They killed them all.

I am Number Four.

I am next."

(Please checkhttp://www.shelfari.com/books/14383307/I-Am-Number-Four for the summary)

What is the relation of Math with this story?

The story used a lot of information using numbers. For example, the Garde members. When the Loric charm wasn't destroyed yet, they wouldn't be harmed unless if they were taken in order. Each Garde has a number. For the Mogadorians to destroy Lorien's hope(the Garde) they must kill number 1 first. They wouldn't be able to hurt numbers 2,3,4,and so on..

THE CONCLUSION: Math is wonderful,a useful tool for the world. It just doesn't deal of solving equations but also it can be used in a lot of ways. Ordering numbers can be seen here in the story. For short, Math can also be used in literature.
